The window of transparency

A clean window doesn’t draw attention to itself.

You don’t look at it. You look through it. The cleaner it is, the less you notice it. That’s the point.

We can be like that.

When we constantly talk about how honest or authentic we are, we end up making it about us. Real transparency is quieter than that. It doesn’t announce itself.

Jesus never drew attention to Himself. Everything He said and did pointed people toward the Father. He didn’t need to prove His sincerity. He just lived it.

John the Baptist said it simply:

“He must increase, but I must decrease.” (John 3:30)

That’s the goal.

Not for people to think well of us. But for people to see Jesus more clearly because we were in their lives.

A clean window doesn’t say, “Look how clean I am.”

It just lets the light in.
